About Me

My name is Brooke Simerson. I am from a small town on the coast of South Carolina. My hometown is so small that basically everybody knows everyone. I’ve only ever lived in one other place when I was going to college down in Georgia. While in Georgia I met my boyfriend Eric and we started dating January of 2019. Together Eric and I have our amazing 1 year old black Labrador Retriever named Cleo. Cleo is our light and joy, truly. I no longer live in Georgia, but I am planning on getting my bachelors and masters degree in Psychology with a Concentration of Mental Health through an online college. I grew a passion for learning about the mind, body, and soul when working at my job in Georgia. I would love to help guide others to finding peace within. Traveling has always been a true love of mine. My boyfriend Eric and I bought a 1997 Ford Econoline Conversion Van in July of 2020 that we plan to convert to a camper van #vanlife.  Eric, Cleo, and I plan to travel everywhere we can from the West Coast to the East Coast! I created Uproute Lifestyle to write blogs about my opinions/views on mental health awareness, van life/traveling, and everyday life scenarios. I have two reasons of why I named my website Uproute Lifestyle. The first reason is, “whenever someone moves from their home/familiar location to another”. The second is, “a way or course taken in getting from a starting point to a destination” which could be spiritually, physically (traveling or moving), and mentally. I hope you all enjoy reading my blogs, and if you need to contact me you can by going to my contact page!
